Forums - Gaming - What do you want in next generation consoles?

- A much greater focus on hardware reliability.
- Allow use of non-proprietary accessories.
- Price proprietary accessories like controllers more reasonably.
- More frequent discounts/sales on downloadable games.
- Transferable licenses for downloadable games (ie: the ability to sell your PSN/XBLA/WiiWare games to others)
- No more than $300 for a non-gimped model at launch.

not everything are graphics. I rather gamepaly and less shovelware.

We can still have better gameplay and games this generation.

However, I agree that graphics aren't everything.

Yes. When i said, "less shovelware" i meant, there is a lot of bad games, at least in the Wii, wich is very sad.

I want to be immersed in the game, so this 3D idea that both MS and Sony seem to be working on would be big.

It is rumoured that Sony has a hidden special method to output 3d graphics to some display devices via some kind of special buffering through a special cable. That would be very special surprise.

I also wish that online play would be available across all platforms that have the same game. I wanna be able to play games on my ps4 online with xbox720 friends.

I don't think that would be very feasible but it would be nice.

I just want them all to be region-free. In all aspects (e.g. PS4 supporting all regions PS2 games as well).
Though I don't care about region-free DVD/BR.

That's a good point, indeed.

I want EVERY games in 1080p or more.

Minimum frame per seconds: 60

I want the next generation to start ASAP: 2010 (or 2011 max)
I'm gaming in this generation since 2005.
Next year =  5 years of gaming with the exact same specs. The last year when a game blew my mind visually... it was 2006 (Gears of War). Since then, no big step forward, yes I've found Killzone2 beautiful... same thing for U2... but nothing in the range "pre-Gears/after-Gears". The gap was spectacular to the eyes.

Transferable licences is the most controversial point. I don't think that would happen.

Good games.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

I understand your point but that's not happening, in my opinion.
