Unfortunately MANY people think this is true

At my school when I told a few people that I LOVED SMG & it was an amazing game.....they laughed at me n said its for kids!

These people were COD/GTA whores!

highschool?

There is a period most people go through from 12-17 where they get the impression that they are "better" than everyone else and nothing at all can happen to them, they think they are no longer kids and will avoid anything that has "childish" themes, they want to do "the mature" stuff.

In California, this is typically the period where kids stop going to Disneyland and go to six flags, and start watching more adult oriented shows. After 17, they get over it, will start going to Disneyland again, and start watching / playing anything that is fun.

Some unfortunate people never progress past this stage and grow into the hardcore 20+ fanboy snobs, but this is a very rare occurence, most people over 17 are sensible enough to not bring themselves down to such a low level. I'd say about 1 in 5 people skip the "stupid" stage altogether.

Unlucky for us that group that doesn't grow past this is primarily the video game reviewing guys at websites.

This is a pretty ridiculous statement. I can see that argument being applied to the old 2D Mario games because the main purpose of every level was to get from the left side of the screen to the right side. The goals of the SMG levels are much more complex and varied. They are not always obvious.

Hmm very much like fps games now adays story mode.   Yet the old 2d marios had no saves and once you lose your lives you start over.  Now in teh hardcore games you get unlimited continues after you beat teh oh so long level you were on /sarcasm not long at all.  And whats worse is that they even throw in some check points in the levels.  Like the levels weren't short enough already you have to put in checkpoints

basically yeah I'm 17 so my fellow students are 17 too

That means they are almost to the other side! check back with them in a year and see their opinions.

unfortunatly G4 has a heavy anti-Nintendo bias

Don't be ashamed with that. I actually love Call of Duty and GTA, but Mario Galaxy is a very good game. And if the beginning of the game is kiddy, the end is no more kiddy itself.

I had this situation too. But they understand that they had to respect me in my opinions. Good friends never laugh at you about your preferences. And for those who love Call of Duty, make them remember that they played Super Mario Bros 3.

If you don't want to see Rosalina's story, DON'T go in the library, and that's all!

Well, this is why I rarely watch G4 shows (At least not anymore). Adam Sessler however, is a different story however.

This is the true definition of owning.

I was also ashamed when I watched Up this year. What a silly movie for anyone over the age of 7.

Accidentally posted..
