I've been putting up with it until recently.

That red color is starting to give me a headache and it make my eyes hurt when I look at the text.

For the love of long cat, change the color!

A more muted, blood red is fine, a darker background is fine or a stroke of black around the red would be fine, just change it before my eyeballs start bleeding of I have a stroke.

This thread is addressing the contrast problem on the home page of VGC. If you look, The Sony red everywhere is very easy to read, obviously. HOWEVER, the Forum Hot Topics section, near the bottom of the page showing all the threads with activity, has a poor contrast between a light gray and the red color. The red in this section is a pain to read. It's not difficult to read, but it's a pain. It's like one of those t-shirts where the writing is meant to look blurry or moving, usually printed with the words "Hangover" or "Wasted".

There are two options to remedy this problem.

a) find a red that works better on both the black and the light gray,

b) change the light gray to a slightly darker gray.

just for shits and giggles, since this background is the same color as the forum hot topics background, I pasted some of this OP in the same red color.

yeah... red it's always used to imply "DANGER" don't go near it.
especially with bar graphics, when people see red they try to avoid it.

ps3 main color it's not red, not a single part of the console it's red. only the "off" led.
and the same for hte PSP. main color it's a purpleish black or blue.

i also disagree, u must just need glasses, red may not have anything to do with ps3 but i have to say its the most understood color for ps3, black would just look akward. anyone agree?

well think about what you just said (PREDOMINANT) the word contains (pre) which basically means before or past so what your suggesting is erelavent, is it not?

2 : being most frequent or common

That's not the PS-logo anymore though...
