Oh, I had forgotten RE4. Nintendo really outdid themselves on that one.
I LOVE ICELAND!

Eternal Darkness, obviously: developped by Silicon Knights, but published by Nintendo...

ah, the ignorance at its finest
sorry nintendo has never been the best games company for me...and i doubt it ever will be

"They will know heghan belongs to the helghast"
"England expects that everyman will do his duty"
"we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender"

Anyways, if you are looking for some "hardcore" Nintendo games on the gamecube, both Fire Emblem and Eternal Darkness come to mind. Both were incredibly good too. However, I hate the term "hardcore" to describe games, but the GC did have an awesome collection of Nintendo games. The Wii is better in my opinion, but it still has a few games it hasn't outdone yet.

yea Nintendo hasn't been the best since days of the snes.
and Nintendo has the power not to allow so many crap games on the wii, a long time ago the Nintendo seal of quality actually meant something but not anymore.
think about it if Nintendo wouldn't have screwed Sony over the ps1 would have been the Nintendo PlayStation.
^It was Sony that tried to screw Nintendo over, not the other way around.

Imagine, Sony would have killed off Mario, Zelda, and all the other great franchises. We'd also still be using the SNES controller and there would be no analog sticks, rumble, or motion controls.
you also bring up the seal of quality argument which is bogus. Sony has never had any form of seal of quality and beat Nintendo because they allowed anyone to publish on their system for cheap (compared to Nintendo anyway). Nintendo ditching the seal of quality was the right thing to do, as 3rd parties came to hate the thing as it meant they couldn't publish more than 4 titles in a year. EA would never be able to publish only 4 titles a year. Anyways, if you want to complain about Nintendo's publishing rules, then make sure you complain about Sony's too, as it is the one thing Nintendo stole from them.
