It's funny you say you're not a complete dick and then you write that last paragraph. Doing something like taking advantage of because they didn't have the since to check their deals is one thing, but taking advantage of people who just want a system is another thing. Think what you want but you're a douche for reselling for a higher price on Ebay or Craig's List or whatever.

Dude, what on Earth are you talking about? If only two parties are involed and no one gets hurt, he is not being a dick. He is a willing seller and he is looking for a willing buyer. If someone thinks that a Wii is worth $300 then they are both helping each other out. Someone will not buy from him unless they think as Wii is worth at least $300. It is called the free market and it is one of the most wonderful things in the world. You are the one that is acting like a dick by calling him names for trying to help people. Seriously, why are you down on people that help others? If anything, you should be thanking him for making the world a better place :) OK, maybe that was a bit much, but I hope you get my point.

So he's helping people get a Wii buy buying one and then selling it for more than it's worth? He is doing nothing to help anyone out other than himself (he even admitted it) so don't try to defend him and say that he has some altruistic motive. If he truly wasn't a dick he would just not buy the Wii and let someone who actually wants the system buy the system for *gasp* the actual price.

No, there's no if, ands, or buts about it, buying a system just to profit off of people is a prime example of complete douchebaggery. Then the fact he comes here whining expecting some kind of sympathy and not expecting to be called a jerk is just amazing.

Yes I was expecting it, and no I don't care. My view is there are more important things in this world to worry about than oppotunistic schmoes like myself. Either way, I still didn't get much of an answer to the questions I asked.

Why would you need an answer? Don't you "know how to play the game" we're only children.

"Why isn't samus in a mario kart game?"

That wasn't meant to be condescending, only a joke.

Edit: I apologize for making a bad, condescending joke. -.-

Yes, he's helping people who can't or don't want to get up at the ass crack of dawn on a Sunday morning and wait in line in the cold to get a Wii.  Some people think it's worth an extra 75 bucks for the convenience.  He's basically getting paid for his time and effort in tracking one down.  You don't have to like it.

So I recently posted a Wii on my local Craigslist, but so far all I've gotten was one reply saying "You can find them in the stores for $250" (I'm selling for $330)

Yes, I understand people don't wanna pay above retail, but I can't help but wonder if I would've had this problem if the Wii was still selling as quickly.

Recently I've noticed in my area that stores are getting larger shipments (at least Gamestops are) and are selling out less quickly, and I wonder if that's a nationwide trend, or just certain regions getting a larger supply.

I suppose what I'm asking is if anyone is/was in a similar situation trying to sell a Wii or if you noticed the same things I have, or the opposite.

That's what you get for being a dick and trying to make a profit off people trying to get something for their kids. Try selling your Wii for $250 + shipping and I guarantee you it will sell almost instantly.

Chill man. I'm not a dick, I'm an opportunist. I can guarantee you, from my posts on here, that wasn't justified.

Anyway, I'm selling now so I can get more capital to buy more and sell them during December. I know how to play the game children.

It's funny you say you're not a complete dick and then you write that last paragraph. Doing something like taking advantage of Best Buy because they didn't have the since to check their deals is one thing, but taking advantage of people who just want a system is another thing. Think what you want but you're a douche for reselling for a higher price on Ebay or Craig's List or whatever.

 LOL.  Agree!

Then he has the Gauh to complain about it not selling.

What the hell??  Sell now make more capital buy more sell again??  Playing the game??? WTH is wrong with this picture?!@

One lesson to learn is that it's not as easy as you think.  Had you done this MONTHS ago you probably wouldn't have a problem... but doing it now and complaining about it??!@#!@#

It's me...  no really, it IS me!!!

All right. Seriously guys.

I did not complain, I just simply noticed something and posted about it. If that makes me a douche/jerk/ass, fine, but if you don't like it, I guarantee you that people here care even less you being on your "moral" high horse than I do.

Simply put; "Quit yer bitchin'"

Now, has anybody else noticed this trend/had a similar experience?

I agree with Twestern on the moral side of things, but as FreeTalkLive said, it's an open market; Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft are opportunists as well (don't get me strated on Ubi). Of course it's not the same, but...

This reminds me of a thread about a PSP.
