You just made me get hyped through the roof for something that's years away and that remains a secret.

My ideal Zelda game would be the one that allows the player to move freely throughout the World, with as little restrictions as possible. A world where the player feels immeresed, a world that is alive and that invites you to explore it. Filled with secrets and a lot of things to do, to experiment with and discover and thatperhaps becomes less linear.

I think Nintendo is well aware of all the mistakes they've made in the previous Zelda games and they want this to be their masterpiece. They can't disappoint their fans either so I'm totally confident that they will create one of the most memorable games in history.

My favorite games of all times are Zelda OoT and Zelda ALttP^. They were both games that invited you to explore every single inch of the World and were both filled with secrets and surprising moments. I want Nintendo to take the best out of those games and every other game in the series and add a little more of their magic. The results would be Legendary.

Fullfilled Prophecies

I see, he thinks that the overworld is made to keep a link down, so he had to go into the underworld and get street smart, so when he came back up he flipped the script on all those jive fools and mozzyed on to do the crypt walk on Ganons grave.

So the perfect Zelda game is...

1. Overworld that beats the snot out of link
2. Dungeon that beats the snot out of link but with a powerup at the end.
3. Overworld innovates itself based on the acquired powerups.

V_V Cool.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

I think Nintendo were limited by those stupid GC discs last gen. Even though the Wii isn't much more powerful I expect this Zelda to be quite a leap over Twilight Princess. I mean, a more detailed world filled with NPCs to talk to and sidequest to complete. And fully orchestrated music!

I also hope fishing is really fleshed out. With Motion Plus it could be amazing.

Yeah, in terms of graphics and disc space alone, they could make quite an improvement over Twilight Princess and it's GameCube limitations.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

mmm look at Super Smash Bros Brawl it uses a Double Layer DVD as Metroid Prime Trilogy...what if they do the same with this Zelda? This would be awesome.

There is absolutely no way this game will live up to the hype. We know this already.

Therefore, Nintendo needs to ride that wave high and damage control later. Most importantly they need to take advantage of the hype first, and the game second. Hype it, hype it Nintendo.

Why do we know it won't live up to the hype? Damn near every Zelda has.

Because they will be overcompensating this time.

A lot of the people who will latch onto Zelda are not very happy with Nintendo, so their emotions are resting on the idea of this Zelda being absolutely fantastic, and they want it to happen. If Nintendo gives a teaser, and it looks good enough, that will be sufficient to initiate an upward spiral of hype and imagination, that will eventually carry over to the rest of the Zelda players, that may not have had as many hopes.

Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. In my opinion Nintendo needs this badly as a matter of system momentum. That aspect of hype in advance is something all the consoles have had plenty of, and it does play an important role. The reason why I don't think it will live up to the hype is because by the time it comes out it will be set way too high. Probably higher than even the most anticipated Zelda games from before.

You weren't around for the storm of 2004, were you?

Yeah I was. I was around for the 1998 storm, too. I think this could be bigger, unless Nintendo sees that strategy as a negative and puts the actual game first. I can feel at the tip their fingers people preparing to switch, and it always follows through.

All they need is exactly what they were expecting, which is not necessarily anything extraordinary at this point. A trailer to a Twilight Princess-esque with better visuals will do, some people would think that alone would be "meh" now, but once it spirals they too will be going bonkers.

My point is that Twilight Princess didn't disappoint even getting as much hype, for its time, as Brawl.

Why do you think that Zelda Wii will disappoint?
