That's a good point.
Come to think of it, pretty much every contender for National Anthem involves religion in some way, except Rule Britannia, but that's not an anthem so much as a war chant.

Ours even mixes the monotheistic God with the Roman goddess of Victory I'm quite surprised Fascism didn't extensively use it and it was instead only adopted after its fall, and approved by commies too! Italian politics is sometimes (NOT!, better to say "often" ) incomprehensible even to us

Nike?
On a Google search, her Roman name is Victoria. Interesting, is Victoria Italian for Victory?
On a different topic, Life of Brian is the funniest movie ever made.

Nike is the Greek one.
Victoria in latin, Vittoria in Italian, in both languages it's also the victory, not only its goddess, but in the anthem it's meant as the goddess, and it says that God created her as slave of Rome. Yes, quite emphatic.
And yes, Brian rules!
Stwike him, Centuwion. Stwike him vewy wuffly! (Pontius Pilate, "Life of Brian")
