Elder customers? That's barely 5% of DS users (55+ y.o.) according to their own surveys. Moreover I'm not sure if bigger screen will improve picture quality for visually impaired gamers since the resolution is going to stay the same => just bigger pixels, and they're already big enough on DSi screen. Strange decision, more info needed.

I would imagine they hope to increase that 5%.

And I think the extra size would help even without an increased resolution - bigger letters are just easier to read.

He doesn't get why you used the term poor DSi buyers, how are they poor? They aren't releasing a new system, just a revision, their DS's will still be supported

Now I'm glad I held out on the DSi for awhile. $180 is just too much to spend on a handheld, even one as good a DS. Plus I've already bought the original tank version and the DS lite. Nintendo hasn't really given me much of a reason to invest in a new model. There is the potential of things like DSiware, but as of how there's hardly any compelling software on it besides maybe Dr. Mario.

Assuming this newer model comes out and ever drops in price, I might consider it, otherwise, my sexy glossy white DS is all I need.
