So he could have had 2 consoles and now he has one. What sense does that make? My buddies do something like that I call them dumbasses and go into their trash, get it fixed, and sell it. There is zero benefit in throwing away a console and no since of pride should be gained by anyone. This should have been an eye opener for you that your friends aren't all that bright.

Judging by the comments commending this act I don't think his friends are the only ones that aren't bright.

I converted myself during the time the PS3 was getting flamed by everyone (2007). Then, I eventually got one of my friends last year, and finally this year, I converted about 10 more after the price cut. They live in my world and I play in theirs...now b3lieve.

At $500 the PS3 was really only for early adopters. At $400 it was a good value proposition, but you needed to think about the math a little bit to understand. Now at $300 the PS3 is so overwhelmingly obvious that it is a better deal many people will be either getting a PS3 as their first current gen system or just switching to PS3 from 360 when it's time to replace it again when it breaks.
