Forums - Sony - PS3 Getting NETFLIX

I was debating re-opening my netflix account. This definitely pushes it over the edge. Going to sign up now! :)

I think it is good and whatnot but isn't supporting a digital movie rental system kind of a slap in the face to their whole "everyone wants Blu-Ray" movement?

just wondering, if you already have Live Gold and Netflix for the x360 if that same subscription would carry over to the PS3 or would someone need a Netflix account per device?

No you just have one account and you can log onto whatever device.  I don't think you can stream more than one movie at a time so I think that is how it is limited.

I give that post a 9.6.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.

No. It will likely be like it is for PC and 360 owners. Yes, you can watch Netflix on your 360 and PC at the same time. If you have three TVs with 3 devices, why not? I'm tempted to see if I can watch three movies - I have 3 laptops, as well as my 360 and PS3.

I liked netflix a lot when I still used the service, the problem is sometimes they ship you broken discs when you get them in the mail lol. otherwise they are pretty good, I don't have a reason to pay for it anymore but with PS3 getting all the important features without all the ads and dedicated servers for the most part for free and soon to have cross game voice chat, I wonder what MS would do next.

Sweeeet. I'm most likely to resubscribe to Netflix because of this. I really liked the streaming service to my TV, I watched a few movies I never would have because of it. Sucks for Microsoft but they need to cut some of the stuff their trying to do to Live out. I didn't mind having a Gold membership to get Netflix since I was already using my account to play games online but now if I want to resubscribe to Netflix I also have to resubscribe to Live just for the streaming. Horrible idea, I'm really glad the PS3 will be getting the service now.

I posted right after you - and matter of fact, I watched a movie on LIVE and another one - a different one - on my laptop Web browser.

You didn't do the proper research, Mrs. Reagan. I give that post a 2.3.

I give my post a 9.9.

Well, that's just cool then.  I don't mind being wrong in that respect.

I give that post a 9.1.

This is great news for PS3 owners. Netflix streaming is great!
