so i decided to get the GOTY edition instead of demons souls * don't worry im still getting demons souls xD* and i am so amazed.....THE GAME IS SO DETAILED AND HAS SO MUCH TO DO!!! i dont know how anyone can finish it in under 40-50 hours... i feel like i am going to spend atleast 120 hours on this game...theres so much to do and see i love it...how bout you guys??? how long did it take you to beat fallout 3???

Well the game's main quest is only about 10 hours.


If you're talking about sidequests and everything else though, it can go on for ages. After getting about 40 hours into it, I decided that I wanna sell it......but since the GOTY is out now, that just got way harder -_-

I've completed all main and side quests and made a few other things that gave me gamerscore. Took me about 56 hours.
I would estimate that the addons will last about 18 hours or so (only completed Operation Anchorage & Mothership Zeta so far)

So ~75 hours I guess. If you're going for platinum trophy I would say 80 hours.

I put about 140 hours into the game. About half of that was trying out mods(PC version FTW.) I also have all dlc btw.

I've sunk about 65 hours into the game so far, it took me a little over 40 hours to finish the main quest but that was because I did alot of the side stuff along the way and was at level 19 by the time I reached the end of the main campaign.

I stopped playing the game after I maxed out at level 20 because I wanted to pick up the GOTY edition since it has all the DLC, and Broken Steel raises the level cap to 30. Was definitely GOTY last year IMO.

My first play was about 60 hours. That was without the GOTY edition content so it's a long game if you explore a lot.

Yeah Fallout 3 GOTY is going to be a blast when i get it. Its my favorite rpg next to Fable II and Mass Effect. I only put 40 hours into the game. Its Bethesda's best game so far, i hope they make Fallout 4.

Its the side quests that make this game worthwhile. As the main campaign is very short and the ending is pretty week in my opinion. I probably spent like 10 hours max on the main campaign but say another 40 or 50 on the side missions.

I'm at least 10 hours in and i beat the pitt and the first level in the main story. I also did some side quests and explored a lil bit.
