I have Vista and it is the biggest pile of shit that i have ever had the misfortune to use... I want to get Windows 7 (only because i can't legally use an Apple OS on a PC) but i refuse to pay MS for it as after Vista i really do not trust them at all!

WTH? Vista is great. Better than XP.

you are funny.

I'd rather use Vista, despite it's faults, over XP.

The only *real* problem with it is memory usage, and memory upgrades are dirt cheap, anyhow.

loads too slow even on fast machines, you'd love 7 if you like vista already though.

I never had any problems with it on my laptop, and a 2.2 GHz Core 2 Duo isn't exactly what I'd call a fast machine.

What's wrong with Vista? For me I only use my PC to browse online, I don't play PC games. If we're looking at it from that, what's wrong? Or is the problem for stuff other than just browsing?

I use Vista and I think it's fine. Although when I used a Mac at my University's library, I was really impressed with its speed O.o Maybe it's time to do a virus scan, heh heh...

Will get Win7 on new PC, but old PC will still be on XP, with custom theme, original XP themes are too ugly.

u can play most games on decent resolution with that with a ati 4870

7 it's okay but linux still better, it rocks an atom, like vista/7 your core 2 duo.

Well, I turn off my computer a max of once/week, so I guess that doesn't affect me as much. >_>

Vista wasn't unmanageable, no, but it does hog a lot of system resources, and for a computer that I use extensively for heavy applications, that is something I do not look fondly at. It also isn't good when customers do not know much about computers and refuse to get more than 1GB of RAM or even 512MB. Then of course there are security boxes that pop up no matter how many times you give permission and all the extra work you have to go through just to get a program or game to work properly. Like I said, it's manageable.

@gustave, If it doesn't crash on a live tv presentation, then it probably wasn't made by Microsoft.
