How do you know that? They have a press release for PS3, but not for Wii. See here -- http://netflix.mediaroom.com/index.php?s=43
I use an 8gb card in my wii I would totally sign up for this.
meh, with the 900k to only 1.2m extra subscribers while 360 offered 2.4million means that the console in question had to have a lower install base. While I don't believe netflix will be coming soon I suspect it will eventually come to the Wii. Though it's all about implementation. I for one would only bother with a free Netflix Channel(pay subscription though). Last I heard though they were thinking of using the disc.
Also I suspect Netflix for the Wii would be streaming only and would not do the download and watch later method. If this is the likely case then streaming works fine. I already stream movies to my wii via internet channel and Wiideocenter. I don't see a problem with a dedicated app. Unless of course the people in question just are tech savvy to get live streaming.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

No, 900,000 to 1.2 Million just means that they expect less people to use the service on this device than use the version on the XBox 360 ... If they decided to release it for the iPhone/iPod Touch they would likely only expect very few people to use it inspite of the massive userbase.
I'm pretty sure the Nintendo Week thing is most likely going to be the Castlevania Rebirth thing (which sucks for me since I am not interested in that series) which was already known a week ago. Maybe Nintendo Power didn't know that the week before on the 19th, Nintendo Week was gonna show what was coming the following week.

well, it's official for the ps3. now that we know the door is open for other platforms (i.e. no MS contracts completely preventing their loss in exclusivity) i think wii compatiblility is probable.
Hmmmmmm, it is possible. I don't know enough, so I won't say much. I just want to see that stinking game already........
