Forums - Gaming - Castlevania IS AWESOME!!!!

I just bought my first Castlevania game: Order of Ecclesia, im 3 hours in and absolutely adore it so far. Yes its rediculously hard. And Im not greta at it. But the cobat is deep and grinding is actually fun. I hear that this one is pretty similar to all the others. It's amazing konami has kept the same gameplay going for so long kudos. Also, what r other great castlevania games I should get list the top 3 in ordser of godness. I can get all of them so dw about that :)

If you are loving Order of Ecclesia, then you should definetly get Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow, Circle of the Moon and the best of them all, Symphony of the Night.

If you're looking for a more classical Castlevania approach, the best ones are Castlevania IV, Castlevania X: Vampyre Kiss and Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.

Current PC Build

CPU - i7 8700K 3.7 GHz (4.7 GHz turbo) 6 cores OC'd to 5.2 GHz with Watercooling (Hydro Series H110i) | MB - Gigabyte Z370 HD3P ATX | Gigabyte GTX 1080ti Gaming OC BLACK 11G (1657 MHz Boost Core / 11010 MHz Memory) | RAM - Corsair DIMM 32GB DDR4, 2400 MHz | PSU - Corsair CX650M (80+ Bronze) 650W | Audio - Asus Essence STX II 7.1 | Monitor - Samsung U28E590D 4K UHD, Freesync, 1 ms, 60 Hz, 28"

I never could really get into the castlevania games. Hmm ill have to try them again sometime.

Long Live SHIO!

they're not all like that, those are the metroidvanias. I far prefer the classic castlevanias myself. Give castlevania 1,3,4, and dracula x a try. People will probably tell you 3 or 4 is the best. 4 is a little to easy to be my favorite. You don't seem to own a Wii, PS3, or PSP so I'm nt sure how you're gonna play them though.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Castlevania games are awesome in the fact that there's a bit of everything for everyone in the whole series.

If you're a RPG fan, you have the GBA, DS and PS1 games; if you're an platformer fan, you have the NES, GEN and SNES games; if you're an adventuring fan, you have the N64 and PS2 games xD

Order of Ecclesia is awesome. But symphony of the night is still the best in series

Get Symphony of the Night. It's the Castlevania-game that introduced the Metroidvania gameplay to the series.

Also, you can't go wrong with the Sorrow-subseries (Aria of Sorrow on GBA and then it's sequel Dawn of Sorrow on the DS). I also personally love Portrait of Ruin to death. So try and check those out, you probably won't be disappointed.

Symphony of the night
Aria of sorrow
Dawn of Sorrow
