Ps3 sold more because everyone already owns a Wii. And the PS3 only sold more when they cut the price basically in half :P

I'm sure they will announce the next Nintendo console next year and it'll come out 2011.

Now lets be clear I am not a Sony fan (Just look at the few Sony games I own)

But Sony only cut their price by 100$ and to be honest Nintendo cut their price by 70$ (CDN) so that shouldn't make much of a differance if you think about it. Actually all three platforms dropped in price this year and so far Sony is the only company seeing benefits! Many argue that many PS2 owners were waiting for PS3 to drop in price, these gamers are now beginning to adopt the PS3.

Anyways with a huge game like (NewSuperMarioBrosWii) launching this fall their is no excuse for Nintendo to loose an inch to Sony. The loss of even one month to the PS3 is a disgrace to the Wii's record of domination. It just proves that not even Nintendo's best console to date can truly dominate the market unchallenged!

Everyone owning a Wii as much as I'd love this to be true it isn't. Their were over 120-million PS2's sold, that is nearly 70-million gamers who don't own Wii's. Their is plenty of room for Nintendo to continue growing, I'd say if they introduce NetFlix (Like Sony and Microsoft), boost their online content (Remove friend codes) and next year succesfully launch MarioGalaxy2 and Zelda then Nintendo could return to its champion position.

It's obvious that will get the "WiiTwo" in 2011, the "xbox720" too. PS4 in 2012.

Why? Why will Wii launch first when they are selling more than the 360 and PS3?

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

when miscrosoft or sony make some kind of software for their motion ideas thats as succesful as wiifit, then we'll start talking. till then, they could both bomb for all we know.

at the earliest, Christmas 2011... at the latest, possibly as far as 2015.... I see it being Christmas 2012 or 2013 though.

I reckon it'll be another 5 years or so. We REALLY need to wait for new hardware to become cheaper, and to wait for the current economic crisis to level out for the R&D and manufacturing costs to become viable.

If you look at Nintendo's software development, i think you can see that Wii is moving into the later stages of it's life. If you look at the development schedules that most of their teams are on, or at least are estimated to be on, it looks like they, internally, have enough software to bring them through 2011 easily, but not much further than that. If it's not 2011, it'll be early 2012. Late 2012 would be a bit of a stretch, and perpetuate a late-term 1st-party drought for the platform

A lot of speculation here, as we don't even know all the games comin' in 2010...

Nintendo is so secretive that there could be 10 games actually in production for Wii, just as well as 30... do you know what's happening with Intelligent Systems, Retro Studios, Hal Laboratory, Camelot, EAD Tokyo, Project Sora, and all the others?

If so, you're a really lucky man for such insider's informations, as most of us would really like to know...

2012 at the earliest. The Wii is doing the best this generation so it will last the longest. Like the PS2 of last generation. But I don't think Nintendo is ready just yet. I think this gen will last a bit longer than the previous gens.
