Forums - Nintendo - "Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream" is very, very hard, you guys.

Yeah this game is really really hard! but its so satisfying when you final beat the opponent you've been trying to beat for days. According to the nintendo channel i spent 25 hours on this game and i've only gotten to super macho man. Out of all the opponents so far Mr. Sandman took me the longest to beat

^^^ He has Game Genie, your hits dont take that much health off of him without it

Unbelievable, Thrillhouse!

BTW, you have one of the best name/avatar combos, ever. You should post more.

bald bull was super easy in that game, you just need to counter the Bull Rush and he drops so fast. The only guy I never beat was Mike Tyson himself (I had the original cart). I was so happy when Nintendo announced they were remaking Punch-Out!!.

I need to finish my Punch-Out!! Wii guide which died off due to getting extra busy at work. It is a complete guide for the contender mode though.

fft. If you had mentioned that earlier (like, back in June), i could have given you a few memorized pattern sheets (especially for title defense)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Possibly, but it still amazing that he doesn't get hit once.

I hope to be able to fight Super Macho Man one day. How.... how many fights past Bald Bull is he?

After Bald Bull is Don Flamenco. He is not hard by any means whatsoever. The problem is that he is a little bitch. He blocks constantly, and the only way to get him to hit you (for over half the fight) is if he blocks first, so you lose hearts. When you turn pink, he just tries to wail on you, and all you can do is dodge. Expect this fight to go to the third round.

Next is Mr. Sandman. Really hard. For the first minute, he just punches, and all you can do is dodge and hit him once. After this, he is kind of like Bald Bull in that he raises his fists up and down before he punches. Hit him in the face and repeatedly in the stomach. Another tip is to use your left hand, it takes more damage. The hardest thing about Sandman is his three uppercuts in a row. Make sure you dodge to the left every time or else you wont be able to make it.

Then Macho man. Macho man is as hard as Sand man I would say. There are two kinds of spin punches, the fast kind which you have to dodge immediately. When this happens, he is only going to do one spin punch. But sometimes, he does multiple spin punches. You know he is going to do this because he charges it up before hand, so you have time to dodge. Make sure to always dodge to the left when he does this.

After that.. Mike Tyson. Nothing to say here. I haven't even beaten him in all these years of playing.

I'm almost there... against Mr. Dream.... almost...

I got past Bald Bull this time - actually beat Don Flamenco my first time.

Mr. Sandman, though? He is a nightmare.
