Modern Warfare probably didn't deserve to be that high (definitely within the top 10 though).

Metroid Prime is not really a FPS (but you do shoot things a lot in first person).

Halo would have been a 6-10 game for me. People (that is, PS3 fanboys) don't seem to understand that it was Halo that paved the way for Killzone, Resistance and all your other favourite console FPS's to be successful, it pretty much established a benchmark. Not many games can make a claim to that, certainly the top 5 have.

I don't really get why Killzone 2 would deserve to be on this list, it really didn't do anything to stand out at the top of the FPS pile or anything really original (except accelerating turning). It's not a bad game at all (it's pretty great once you get used to the controls), it's just not top 20 greatest FPS (of course, that's imo).

System Shock 2 probably deserved to be on the list more than Bioshock did (though I enjoyed Bioshock way more)

Overall, it's not a bad list and there's no choices to cringe at (which is good).

I won't even mention Resistance......

Console games are too high, Battlefield is too low, and no Battlefield 2? WTF!

17 of 20 games were released on the PC.

The 3 that were not, were all on Nintendo Consoles.

The Timesplitters games are criminally overlooked. The local multiplayer that they have is GODLIKE.

I hope the next Time Splitters are like the first three and doesn't support online. Timesplitters are meant to be played with friends on the couch in front of the TV.

I kinda agree with this statement, however, Crysis is probably the only game that really doesn't belong on the list, it's innovation was ZOMG LOOK AT THOSE TEXTURES and LOOK MY PC HAS THE SPECS TO RUN CRYSIS! really nice open enviornments but just run of the mill in gameplay, there's probably a dozen other FPS games to put in its place one being the original Half Life.

i would chuck tf2 in there over l4d or a couple of others :P

good list though. wow i hate it when people call this list (or any really) 'fail' and crap and stuff... its an OPINION. i have nothing against people saying what they would have done instead but saying this list sucks is stupid, its a very good list. If every game was on there that someone has said "WTF WHY IS GAME _______ NOT ON THERE!?!?!" the list would be 40 games long.

aside, i personally see no reason why KZ2 should be on there.

Also, i dont buy the arguement that MP is not fps. it is first person, and you spend a heck of a lot of time shooting things. seems good enough to me... yeah there are other elements, just as there are in plenty of fps games, but the main point of the game is to shoot stuff. in my opinion anyway.

Yeah! I'm not alone! That game was great! The second part was good, better graphics, but not better than the first.
