Why does ioi adjust to NPD numbers then?

Because people like to whine cry and complain and NPD does have more resources but typically the site adjusts only when its way off.

I dunno if you were here for the thread I believe DMJ made back last year, when PS3 was under tracked a bit and Wii over tracked a bit by NPD numbers he made a thread and it caused a big stink around the forums and many tried to cry that the site was bias towards Nintendo because of the numbers even though Brett explained time and time again the numbers were within the standard deviation of 10% people really don't know how statistics work I'm guessing.
