but history shows us this is like not possible

unless it Peaks in 2010 instead (wth a zelda wii)

Well, the Wii's holidays this year (in Japan) is going to be ridiculously......solid.

I cannot forecast the impact New Super Mario Bros. Wii will have everywhere else, but it has an almost guaranteed 750k first week in Americas at least and most likely 1.1m worldwide.

2010? The Software we have seen will be nuts. And there are probably 3 Wii games Nintendo will release during the next year and holidays that we don't even know of yet, in addition to Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M. Having a Zelda 2010 would be a photo finish, but something else is surely in the works to drive hardware sales. What happened with Wii Music/Animal Crossing has an extremely slim possibility of ever happening again.

And do not forget the 3rd parties. Big guns will be blazing next year- in both quality and sales.

Your making me HYPED!

Next year I see myself getting sooooooo many Wii games!!!

There will probably be 9 games max that you would want to buy for the Wii next year. However, seeing as to how people mostly buy 12 games average for their console throughout its life, 9 is a great number.

One game every 6 weeks!

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

I'll count now:

1. SMG 2

2. FFCC:TCB

3. TOG

4. Metroid Other M

5. Zelda Wii (its coming next year B_E_L_I_E_V_E)

THATS more games than I got for the wii for the whole 1.8 years I've owned it

2010 is BIG for wii software wise!

well the fact that it is down yoy by 3.5m and that it has sold less following a price cut tells me it is set.

Well sales are currently increasing following the price cut so I wouldn't be so sure. Also Wii has a stronger holiday lineup this year and no shortages.

I think a lot of people are going to be suprised by Wii over the holidays - especially in America.

OWNED!

DON'T WIN ME CHIBI BUDDY DON'T WIN ME.

ANIMAL CROSSING NEW LEAF FRIEND CODE:- 5129 1175 1029. MESSAGE ME.
ANDY MURRAY:- GRAND SLAM WINNER!

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

^^ How? They are both making reasonable predictions.

yea I agree, kowenicki didn't know Wii hardware was going up from this last week, so I don't think it would classify him as pwned.

I guess that $50 drop was just what the doctor ordered. Not that the Wii really needed a boost but it would have fell behind slightly without it.

No chance. Less than 1.5m. My point is the Wii has peaked.

I almost agree, it had a price cut, but it still cant sell as much as it did in the same period last year?

I'm tempted to agree as well, but Wii Sports Resort and NSMB Wii will drive Wii sales well into 2010, and the Wii's 2010 lineup looks freakin' insane to me.

I'd give 50/50 odds of 2010 being the Wii's best year.

I'm not sure yet if 2010 will be Wii's best year, but it'll certainly be better than 2009.

Sarcasm?

actually no, I was serious, Notice wii hardware dropped by 2% in the americas and in japan based on VGC data, I'm guessing kowenicki was expecting it to continue, but ioi said otherwise

Software. Software. Software.

Wait for NSMB, then you can say whether its set or not

Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

You might need to add Fragile, Arc Rise Fantasia, and Epic Mickey (if you want that) to the list too :)

ArcRise Fantasia yeh

Epic Mickey is next year?
