Game's name can't be changed - it is how it is identified to update sales figures etc from the american and Japanese charts. Similarly, the convention of using the America name for this is what I want to keep. You can order by whatever you want to, it depends how you get to the page on what order things are in.

Hummm this site is written in PHP, so the DB is most likely MySQL, you can definitely change the name of the games, all you'd have to do is grant update, and possibly delete privileges to some mods so they can help you. The way it is right now the DB is a mess with all these different double entries.

 Do you plan to update the Euro numbers? Plenty of PS3 and PSP games suffer from the lack of it. It would be cool if the Euro numbers were updated more often, possibly a weekly chart including the games as well.

Such as? If I add a new game to my charts how does it know which database entry to update the sales data into? Only by name and console.
 I don't know how your DB is set up and your naming conventions. but as aforementioned, you can easily update your games and names, even if they are on other tables, by joining the 2 different tables. The naming then won't really matter, you'll only have to point to the correct field.

@stranne

Just choose 'Last Updated'. I liked it on 'Last Updated' most >_<. Is there any way we can keep it on LU like normally again when we go or are we forced to choose it?

What? Are you saying that the sales data in the games database is manually updated? Is so, why? Why is it not taken from the sales data tables?

Although the second 360 GRAW game listing has been removed, it still shows up here:

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick

I know you *can* update the names, my point is that there is no other way, at present, i can see of automatically looking up a game in the database and updating its sales info from the weekly charts other than looking for name+console matches. It is the only way that works at present so I'm gonna have to stick with it I'm afraid. Double entries can be removed and games with missing data need to be rectified by me changing the name entries on my raw data that I upload so that they match.
 Any idea on when you plan to do that?

How about adding a release section for each announced game... so it is easier to search for each releases on each console?
