What people are missing in regards ps3 launch. Is it's march not fall. If they've sold 500,000 on launch day that's phenomenal.

guys/gals... i didn't want to post in this thread because it is ridiculous to argue that it is or isn't selling well because of there still being consoles available... just stupid. Sony will likely make an announcement during the week next week about how many they sold... most of the companies do this, if they don't, then tough no one will be able to see an 'official' number of how many have been sold. We would expect the console to sell well as soon as it becomes available yes, definitely. Especially the one with the Playstation brand. What really SHITS me is people like mridul who spin absolute bollocks to try and make his favorite system sound good. Comments about it being sold out in CANADA WOAH sweet, sold out in one of the smallest video game markets in the world... who gives a rats aboot Canada their numbers are puny and don't mean crap for worldwide numbers, just like Australia really means crud all. Just stop trying to argue on availability, the Wii could most likely sell much more if Nintendo provided more shipments, that's definitely a HUGE negative for Nintendo, they haven't caught demand yet, and that's not a good thing, however they are selling insanely huge numbers each month. JUST STOP calm down and look at your arguments, it sounds completely STUPID. Europeans didn't go to the launches at night, SO WHAT they probably picked it up the next day or on the weekend, however this still means that the midnight launches were not successful, no if's, no buts, doesn't say shit for the life of the console. There are too many fanboys in this thread defending and arguing one side or the other which suits their personal agenda, just wait for official information. I personally predict lower numbers than many people expect, but 500,000 is a good estimate and I think very likely... but we don't get to see the official numbers, so who really will ever know, it's all pure fanboy speculation.
