Here's the latest gameplay of alan wake.
From what I see the in game doesn't come nearly as good as the screen shots posted unless it's a cut scene...

GOW3 and Rage maybe, Heavy Rain and AC2 not so sure, Splinter Cell and Alan Wake?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, that's just silly!
On seperate things, they all can possibly beat Uncharted 2.
But as a whole, Uncharted 2 still looks to walk away with the title.
Gran Turismo 5 and Crysis 2 are the biggest challengers for it... But i can't wait to see how Uncharted 3 will look.

In terms of sheer realism though, GT5 is definately up there as one of the best of all time. if not THE best of all time.

Given all Uncharted 2's fanfare I have to say.
My local gamestations decision to display the game on a 42 inch LCD does it no favours.
The scene is one of the inside of a temple and it looks like a PS2 game on such a screen.
No rolling demo just the same seni static shot of the same temple with massive jaggies and pidgeons flying willy nilly.
Way to sell the product Gamestation NOT.
It looks terrible.
I'd say God of war and maybe heavy rain are the only real competition.
@coolbean
thats why it's pointless to compare unreleased game to released like others said cause we don't really know fully their differences.

But again, it isn't that hard for a racing game to do that. The games put up against Uncharted 2 in here are technically doing things that would hinder such realism, rendering GT5 useless to compare here. I see your point about the sheer LOOK of GT5, but comparing it with games such as these is a little pointless. |
It's hard for a racing game to do that with over 1000 cars all practically perfect. Interior and exterior car designs. Damage to those cars. Driver animations. Head tracking. Getting tracks and scenery perfect. Weather conditions. Day/Night cycles. Etc... All while keeping a steady 60fps framerate.
GT5 deserves just as much mention as any other game when it comes to graphics capabilies, IMO.

GT5? Well, I'd guess some racing games of it's nature...which there aren't any upcoming ones besides Forza 3. I guess after Oct 27, that leaves GT5 all by itself... |
Im not turning this into a Forza vs GT thread...
But from what we have seen. It is no competition.
