Okami is pretty good but your mileage may vary (it's quite artsy, and it's hard to draw straight lines with the Wiimote). I also liked Trauma Centre series, New Blood has 2 player.

Edit - Super Paper Mario, though the gameplay is good but not amazing, the dialogue and some of the direction is hilarious.

Personally I became bored with Okami and never finished it.  It's a long game, and the story just wasn't that compelling to me.  Still worth a try at it's budget price, and may have just been too much else going on at the time...  I'll probably go back to it sometime.  Anyways, drawing a straight line is easy, just read the manual.  It tells you how (basically you hold down a button).

Don't really have much else to add (could repeat several) unless I start talking VC and WiiWare games.  Is your Wii online?  If not, you may want to skip The Conduit for now, otherwise it's a must get.

I am glad this thread showed up because I am also looking for good wii games. Since the school I work for is getting a wii for its students I am trying to look into what games would be good to get for it.

Pick up Wii Sports Resort. It is very precise.

The game is great and will give you countless hours of fun.
