That's good to hear. I enjoyed looking through the NSider forums (although I rarely posted there), and I'm glad to hear a newer version of it is coming back.

I have like 10 posts on the Nsider forums. They just don't interest me that much and the layout is foreign to me. I prefer the RvB and VGChartz forums to Nsider.

lol at cool48. Sony copies everyone else not the other way around. Nintendo makes a controller with analog control, sony makes a controller with 2 analog sticks. Nintendo makes a rumble pack, Sony makes dual shock controller, Six axis motion controls, ect ect. Sony just takes whatever anybody else does and slaps it on their console and claims they did it.

Sorry to all of you hyped up fans thinking that the new forums will be any more intigrated into the Wii then the last N-Sider was. Why exactly won't their be a Nintendo Power channel or any kind of further intigration?

 I can tell you if such a channel could or would have been made it would have been by Nintendo themselves. Nintendo is the only company that can make channels to this date Nintendo hasn't authorized third or second parties to develope channels. So why does this make a Nintendo power channel impossible? Because Nintendo no longer publishes , distributes or writes Nintendo Power. Nintendo Power while an owned property of Nintendo was entirely liscensed to Future Publishing meaning any Nintendo Power channel would have to be made by Future themselves.

Multinationalism also poises a problem for a Nintendo Power channel or intigration of the new Nintendo forums into Wii's internal software (Channels). Nintendo Power is only distributed in North America to select nations. While Official Nintendo Magazine rules Europe and Nintendo Dream runs Japan. If Nintendo was to develope a channel it would likely require co-operation between all of the branches only one of which remains internally developed to my knowledge. News releases would need to be co-ordinated to ensure that they didn't go ahead or behind the magazines. Also Nintendo would need to prevent direct competition with the magazine but such a Power channel could directly affect the sales of the magazines.

Now what about further intigration, keyboards and such. Well Future publishing has absolutely no control over accessories that Nintendo releases. The new Nintendo Power community will in no way be run by Nintendo and have no official ties other then the affiliation of the name. Their will be no NOA's operating it, no Nintendo employees at all it will be entirely run by Future Publishing. No Sages , none of the old Mods an entirely new and unrelated community.

So just what will this new community be?? It can't possibly improve on the origional N-Sider. No real co-operation by Nintendo themselves and no Mods or Sages to continue operating it. Essentially it will be a third party Nintendo forum like any of the others N-Sider , Nintendo Now it won't be any better then any of them. 

The only upside it could possibly have is an affiliation with Future Publishing maybe incentives for subscribing and a new hierarchy. Newly appointed Sages and a new system of rule. But no real improvement is possible the only possibility is that Future might screw it up and we may end up with a joke like that of the 1.Up forums!
