Forums - Nintendo - Any life left in the Wii?

The reason am saying this is because I feel like treating myself to a Nintendo Wii during Christmas. I don't want to be faced with a situation where after 2 years Nintendo decides to release another Console. Should I hold out for the next console or just buy the Wii cause it is that damn good.

Should I sell off my 360 for a Wii aswell? Already have a PS3.

What games would you recommend apart from the obvious (Mario and Zelda)

Get a Wii. Enjoy it. Don't sell your 360.

de Blob is nice.
Tales of Symphona: Dawn of the World. (based on your avatar and signature)
You might liike No More Heroes as well.

Pixel Art can be fun.

The best time to get a Wii is 6th November, that's the day you can get a Black Wii Wii bundle.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

DRAGON QUEST X is coming aswell.

Does the virtual console have a good load of content?

May just buy a Black Wii with Brawl and Galaxy and then work my way up. Thanks guys fantastic contribution, you swayed me over in 4 posts.

Can't see support for the Wii stopping within 2 years - its user base will be too high to just dismiss that easily. As for what's in store, there are a lot of Nintendo franchises that haven't seen a Wii version yet (e.g. Mario Tennis/Golf, Starfox, Pilotwings, F-Zero, Zelda [given TP was a GC port]) - I can't see Nintendo not releasing instalments of these franchises given such a large user base, and nor can I see them bunching the releases of these instalments too closely together. As such, I think Nintendo support for the Wii will continue for a number of years yet.

Haven't played my 360 for more then 7 hours and had it since August. I think those are some signs.

Little King's Story is epic.

I'm pretty sure you'll have at least three years more with the Wii. And even then you'd probably want more games for it even after next gen rolls by.

Besides the obvious Mario/Zelda...Tales (just looking at your sig/avatar :P), Arc Rise Fantasia, No More Heroes, Fragile, MH3, Epic Mickey, Muramasa, Little King's Story...etc.

If your collection is anything to go by you seem to like JRPGs so along with Soriku's games he mentioned above I'd also keep an eye out for Tales of Graces (the new Tales game), Monado: Beginning of the World, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, No More Heroes 2 (not a JRPG but promises to be awesome), and Shiren the Wanderer.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."
