This, or to be more precise, there are opinions you need to own the game or console to express and other opinions you can perfectly argue without owning that HW or SW. Obviously without HW and SW you cannot express detailed opinions on very peculiar aspects, just to make an example, a console gamer could say he doesn't like keyboard+mouse controls, while a PC gamer could be precise and tell which games implement those controls well and which don't. As I'm quite fussy about controls and I don't like gamepads (that's also why I fell more attracted by Wii), I always try demo consoles at stores if I have the opportunity, to see if eventually a particular control scheme or game can make me change my mind. And anyhow, even well argued opinions will have a certain degree of bias and subjectivity. But preventively calling someone a troll is an attack ad hominem, that can be abusive, if the tatget is innocent of trolling, or circumstantial, if by chance the attacker spotted a real troll, but in both cases is fallacious, because it doesn't demonstrate the falseness of the target's arguments.
