That's hilarious.

I bet the game won't receive a single perfect score from Western magazines and it will stay far below 90 on metacritic.

Figures, the game has a FEMALE main character so they like it in Japan.... If the main character hade been a guy they would have ging it 10 points less.

So much FFXII hate in this thread. I though FFXII deserved its 40/40. One of the best FF in the series for me.

However I'm surprised that Bayonetta did get a perfect mark. Wonder how well it'll be received in the west.

I was thinking this myself. After all, my reaction was "Another 40? Eh." Famitsu's really watered it down, with a 40 from them now being about as common as a 10/10 from the local rags. And that, of course, means nothing anymore.

thats the first thing i noticed. 6 games receive perfect scores in 8 years, and another 6 in only two years??

i'd like to blame hype, but is there really any hype for bayonetta? and what is 428?

 

its nice to see FFXII with a perfect score god i love that game, i dont understand all the hate though :(

I'm pretty sure it will receive a 10 from Play Magazine USA.  Dave Halverson seemed to really like it in their preview issue.

I hope they keep the Japanese soundtrack in the Western version because the Japanese score is supposed to be awesome.

I remember when scores from Famitsu actually meant something. It seems since FFXII came out they just giver everything a 40/40

Since day 1, I've been saying that Bayonetta will suck and that it looks terrible. I've been met with resistance every where I turn. Is it time I give this game the benefit of the doubt?
