Forums - Nintendo - Is this the most important Wii game?

I think it being from capcom, and the underground buzz will help it a bit, but it still won't be phenomenal.

The game looks like a joke to me. A game that looks kiddie but is made for adults (let's face it, that is what the tons of point and click games on the net are made for). But, it also looks like it was a low budget game (the other point and click games are free because they were so inexpensive to make) so 100,000 in sales should mean profit for Capcom. That seems very doable.

currently playing: Desktop Tower Defense (PC), Puzzle Quest (DS), Trauma Center New Blood (Wii), Guitar Hero III (Wii), Ghost Squad (Wii), Actraiser (SNES), Donkey Kong County (SNES), The Legend of Zelda (NES), Kirby's Adventure (NES)

will play next: Paper Mario (N64), Golden Axe II (Sega), NiGHTS (Wii)

I will buy it. But I won't play it.

 LoL. Budget Game?

THIS is a budget Game:

Rupert Young, how could you? You're billed as the managing director of quality assurance for Balls of Fury, a Wii title based on the movie of the same name, but we wonder if you're even a real person. Surely, you must be a pseudonym. You must! Sir, when it comes to this "game," there is simply no quality to assure, and of that we assure you. Balls of Fury is, in fact, such an awful, putrid title that we would determinedly avoid it as a promotional Flash mini-game on a beer website. You want Wii owners to pay $29.99 for this ludicrously amateur and downright offensive endeavor? Why would we do that when we could sit down and enjoy the still-bad, but far superior mini-game on the official Balls of Fury website? See? $29.99 saved.

Well I have to agree that marketing is important even if is a good game, mouth to mouth is important too, well I hope this sells good so more 3rd parties don't have doubt to make games for the wii ;)

Trauma center wii, and raymen raving rabbids were excellent third party games.

I dunno, Zack and wiki is a good 3rd party game but it's also very distant from the so called hardcore tastes, and also not exactly casual either. As awesome as this game is, it's might end up fitting into a small niche rather than carving it's own groove.

Well I loathe the term hardcore, As an older gamer, this looks like the most hardcore game released on a console in the last decade.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Trauma Center: New Blood could do better. I think most people interested in the Wii version(200k+ Sales) already played the DS version(350-400k+ sales), and did not feel like buying an enhanced port.

Now that the series has moved to the Wii, I could see Trauma Center shining.

Well said, stof.

Old School Point and Click FTW!

I agree stof, I hate the term hardcore. Zack and wiki should definately fit into the true hardcore catagory. But that's not what "hardcore" is defined as. Hardcore is just high budget "mature" titles, mostly shooters or action games. As somebody who played the original Kings quest on god knows what kind of rig or OS, and Sam and Max on Dos, I think this game is hardcore and a half, but I'll be in the minority.
