Muramasa kicks so much ass though. That game is a shitload better than Oblivion as well.

There are tons in developement though. So I'm fine.

Why so much hate towards Oblivion? The game is designed exactly like a role-playing game should be designed. the leveling system, physics, and making a detailed character, everything was simply genious.

I has only two flaws, TWO, or three that keeps it from becoming the perfect RPG.

1. Enemies should not level up while the player levels up, it removes the satifaction of being able to kill stuff that used to be stronger than you. and things should be easy to kill, but kill you easy instead of everything being a tank, it would be more realistic that way.

2: More varied enemies and enviroments please, and more varied spells and more voice actors and more DRAGONS!

3: Multiplayer please

those are the ONLY flaws that Oblivion has.

In fairness when I look at these lists I never agree with the order usually so I just consider the games listed as a whole and decide would I list them in my top 10. Given the huge number of people I know that have sunk in excess of 50 hours into Oblivion I actually agree with rating it number one this time. As for the rest I've only played through Fallout 3, Mass Effect and Fable 2 so I'm incapable of assessing it properly.

fable 2 needs to be lowered, valkria chronicles raised and handheld rpgs like bowsers inside story and the world ends with you, need to be added. never played oblivion so can't comment on that

Why isn't Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn on this list? Too tactical for you?

I've never heard of the site gamingbolt so won't put too much effort in my few disagreements with the list. All I can say is that Tales of Vesperia probably deserves a mention.
