I guarantee that you not (apparently) entertaining the possibility that you were insane made people more suspicious of you.  Not less.  He might have backed down if you hadn't been acting totally irrational in your denial of that possibility even as you privately considered it likely.  

Damn, this sort of thing makes me just want to jihad you on the first day in future games just so I don't have to deal with your insanity.

I'm not mad that I didn't get you lynched; after all, I want the town to win and despite it all you were pro-town. Although it might have saved Gnizmo's life come to think of it ... but no.

The thing is, after you had me backing down, and after I died, I personally was regaining all my suspicion of you because of how you were acting that day. Maybe you're just naturally crazy...

I'm mad because you acted very, very in character with your "insane cop" role. It is possible to get too deep into method acting, you know.

Countless times I said I believed in both your and gnizmo's innocence, so the only solution could be that you're insane.  Did anyone listen?  No.

Yeah, I do feel pretty stupid.

I thought there might have been some truth to both person's claims, but it seems that not many considered that both were telling the truth.
