Its not hard to play the early demo build of GT5 prologue.
It was released on the Japanese PSN, there was a topic about it yesterday called GT impressions or something like that.
Aliasing seems to be an issue in both games, but less so for GT, especially in Progressive. It is one of the first games that makes me want a 1080p, all i have is a crappy 1080i
Anyways, regarding the comparison shots, they both look great. seems as if the richness of the colors and draw distance is better on GT. The details of the trees seem better in Forza.
GT has the advantage of not being even close to done yet though.
If anyone wants to play it, there was a walkthrough posted on yesterdays forum discussing how to get a Japan PSN.

GT5 looks way better, Forza 2 looks like it'd run on my PSP :)

MY answer :
it is a comparaison between the 2 games (1 on Xbox360/1 on PS3) that could have been posted in "gaming discussion". The fact to post it on the "Microsoft forum" even if the NEWS game is GT5 prologue, the fact to show stupid screenshot that try to show Forza is better than GT5, that is obviously the case, just reveal the OP is trying to make some dammage control against the best visual console racing game so far ONLY ON PS3.

Remember the best visual game of the Xbox360 was release 1 year ago by Epic. Does it mean the Xbox360 has already reached her limit ???

To be fair, and I am a huge GT Fan, the demo track is rubbish. I played on the weekend and was totally underwhelmed. The car, especially in car, detail is outstanding. I get the feeling the track is unfinished.

claps to everybody..... ok now lets talk about something important concerning a simulation ????? which one is better ???? I didn't try GT5 yet.... but until now FORZA 1 and 2 were the best sim hands down on console and GTR on PC..... now honestly when I'm looking at a simu... you can give me half ass graphic compare to the concurrence even if I could get both on the same console but had to choose one I take the better sim over the better graphics.... now true that car looks better.... better be for a game that comes in full version almost 6 month after..... for the track and the shadowing of what I see on those poor screen Forza still wins.... now I'd like to see it compare to PGR in terms of graphics..... :)
I'm still waiting to see the big gap between PS and XB... and it doesn't look like to be for anytime soon.... if it for any time

Ok, GT5 looks graphically better than Forza 2. We all admit it. Can we just move on now? Forza 2 is a great game -- period. Knock it all you want, but the gameplay is great. The overall experience in FM2 is top notch. Maybe GT5 will be also. Maybe it won't. We won't know until the product is out.... Can we just leave it at that and move on?

Wow there is so much going wrong in the thread I don't know where to begin. Firstly GT5 looks better than Forza 2. The GT series has always looked better than the Forza series from a graphics standpoint. Its the gameplay that has always given Forza the edge over the GT series. Once GT5 is released, lets see how the game plays and then compare the two.

SSJ12, your GC vs. Xbox comparison is flawed. The GC has the stronger CPU. The original X-box had a 733mhz Celeron, the GC's Gecko CPU was a 486mhz Custom Power PC G3. The Power PC architecture ran circles around the Pentium architecture with twice the clock rate. A Celeron, which was essentially a Pentium with greatly reduced cache, wouldn't stand a change against the Gecko even with a 50% higher clock speed. The X-box GPU had the edge in fill rate in addition to its shader effects, while the GC's GPU was better at lighting,texturing, and rendering with all effects turned on. It lacked the shader ability of the X-box GPU however.

I've always felt that gameplay wins over graphics in any genre.
