"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Probably because its Tekken 6. 6 being the key number there. What possibly new could it bring to the table making it worth $60? More characters and mildly destructive environments is not enough. I'd also say the fact too many big name titles are coming out at the same time. The fighting genre is not what is used to be. Now if they brought back 2d MK i'd be psyched.

Tekken already has a large fan base, so i doesn't need a hype. Just check the pre-order charts. It's already got over 200k pre-orders in America alone, with still 3 weeks left before release. Uncharted 2 was at the same level 3 weeks before release. Ratchet and Clank is a bit to kiddy for me, and the biggest reason tools of destruction got his hype was because of it's graphics for it's time.

don't want either.

Tekken 6 is must buy in first week.
Ratchet can wait to next year.

Honestly, do JRPG makers even realize how hard it is to save the world? That shit is impossible!

Tekken and Rachet have been buried by Uncharted 2 , Halo 3 : Odst, AC2, and lets not forget about Modern Warfare 2.

Yes, god forbid people buy more than 1 game in October...Since Halo 3 came out last month and AC2 and Modern Warfare 2 come out next month. I don't see it really effecting much at all considering Ratchet & Clank went up against pretty much the same competition 2 years ago with Assassin's Creed, Modern Warfare, Halo 3, and Uncharted and it still managed to do well. Now that people actually own PS3's, I don't think it's as doom and gloom of a picture as you're painting there.

I think he meant the hype, well, I hope that's what he meant. They'll both sell well.

Well, I'm certainly excited for the new R&C game. Never been a fan of fighting games, so I don't care much about Tekken 6. No offense meant, but it's just not my type of game.

Unfortunately, I wont' be able to get ACIT until the holidays.
