Tell me that isn't true

i think its a bit worse as of late but theyre not too bad yet. I still enjoy coming here but i have noticed alot of Fanboy threads from all sides. Especially between GT5 and Forza 3. People just keep trolling the threads discussing the other game even if their game isnt mentioned.

It happens in waves. Anytime there are large sales or exclusives on the horizon, people get a little rowdy and you have to watch your back or you'll get jumped by angry fanboys over the littlest things.

If you think the board is bad now, it was much worse when I signed up. There was a lot more leniency so legendary Sony fanbrats like Hus could troll for days without facing repercussions.

Yep.  Sales/profits are a reason to own a company's stock, if the numbers are good enough and gaming is a large enough % of the company's business.  Sales/profits are not a reason to think that your console is better.  Your console may just be cheaper, marketed better, a fad, or have come out sooner, all of which would help sales but wouldn't be a reason to think that the games are better.

It seems to be the same as when i used to read on these forums 2 years ago. The posters have gotten worse though, and the site is predominately PlayStation.

I have to agree - I barely ever look at the threads anymore, nothing here interests me.

Its also the redesign of the site - there is a much bigger focus on news, stories, (etc) - with everything accepting comments. The forum threads basically come last, and personally I don't have any time for them.

I don't notice much change. A year ago there were still flamebait threads, spamming threads, interesting threads, excellent threads and everything there's now. Some people have left forever, some people barely come anymore, but there are new people, some that started posting less than a year ago, and not for that they aren't cool people.

I mean, yeah, I miss some people, some posters that have left were funny, but that doesn't mean that some new that have come aren't as good, or that the quality of discussion isn't as good as before. Of course, you can always give an example of "man, this thread sucks", that has always happened and always will, you can't expect in a 50k community everyone to behave well, it always happens. What matters is that the community isn't getting any worse, nor is the content of the threads
