Ya, this is the worst I have seen the boards since I have been a member. Seems like for every good thread there are 3 that flamebait around the same few things.

This is essentially the way it is.  Its the law of proportions.  The more people you add to something, the less controlled it is and the less people feel 'connected'.  And therefore, the more they lose their inhibitions and they act up.  If there's only like 100 people on a forum, nearly everyone knows everyone else and there's accountability for what you say.  However, if there's 10,000 or even 100,000 people on a forum, then there's next to no accountability and even the most ridiculous post or 'flamebait' statement will have someone backing it up either because they have a similar view or just to encourage tension.

As with all things it ebbs and wanes. So yeah you will have peaks and dips. So just relax and enjoy the ride.

The same could be said about your reply to his "pointless" thread.  Sheesh.

I don't think the forums are becoming bad per se, just that we need less bitter fanboys on these forums. It's one thing to be a loyal fan of a company then someone who constantly yells in your face that such and such rules and your an idiot for not agreeing so.

Yeah i wish there was more threads.
