Proper term is Illegal Aliens

Care for Aliens is an unfunded mandate costing those who use health care.

It is a current regressive mandate

I'm just curious of peoples opinions.  I don't really have one myself as of yet.

One reason for giving illegal aliens free healthcare is that people can catch stuff from them.

I'm just curious how it works in other nations.

I beleive in France Illegal Aliens aren't covered.  David Sedaris mentioned it before.

Viruses and diseases spread regularly yearly in the U.S., whether people have healthcare or not. You can still be in the transmission stage and not feel the effects yet. And most illegal immigrants will continue working jobs even if they have healthcare, since they need the money anyways.

I believe it will, whether or not the bill passed by Congress excludes them. Remember Prop 187.

Should they be covered? no.

Problem with illegal immigration:

1. legal aliens: There are those that tries for years to come to this country and this downplays the situation. There is a reason for the law, how flexible should the law become that illegal get the same benefits?

2. taxpayer: First of all illegal immigrants, do not pay for the taxes. One can argue their income isn't great but I believe that there are many taxpayers/ and low income that we aren't even able to help yet.

3. health: Because illegals are unaccountable, we won't really know the impact it will have on the health system... as in cost.

4. economy: illegals come because of the good economy, when the economy goes bad... what's the incentive to stay?

5. Family: the illegal parent's kids (if born in US) WILL be US citizen, enough said.

Yes, I know I've generalized and I do know some illegal immigrants face "unfair" situations in life but that is because you are here illegally and hence it is hard to defend yourself. If the universal health care system allows illegal immigrants, we might as well call them legal immigrants.

theres more but i'm too sleepy, but one thing that concerns me is how it will impact the health-care framework because I work in the medical field. Though a part of me believes when it comes to health, everyone should be treated equally because we share our communities and it's in the best interest for the greater good for every citizen. But the reality is the cost and our taxpayer's money is 'suppose'........ I'll stop. ZzZ If I don't make sense, I apologize.

You do realize that even if they aren't covered, they can go to the ER and get treated, and that still costs you, where do you think hospitals shift the costs to, possibly even more than it would giving them healthcare to begin with

Send a bill to their country of origin, IMO.

And then countries like China send us a bill for all the trillions we owe them

Seriously though, trying to recoup the money wouldn't work, either way there is going to be a healthcare cost, smartest way is to either extend minimal healthcare coverage to illegals, or to allow those illegals to become legal residents and citizens

The smartest way would be for the government to get the fuck out of every other area of life that it's currently trying to control when it has no business doing so (the War on Drugs, the War on Lightbulbs, the War on Cheerios, etc.) and to focus instead on the few things it's actually supposed to do, like defending our territorial integrity.

No it doesn't. And it shouldn't.
