Because MGS4 looks like crap half the time.

I don't know why it won so many graphics awards. Maybe everyone didn't want to give it to a marginally improved sequel that won the award a few years ago? (explains why Crysis Warhead got shunned).

A lot of people here think that MGS4 had some great, but flawed graphics. Most notably the textures. Of course it's all opinion, but Gears 2 won a lot of graphics awards too I'd bet, and I think that most people, when we had a discussion on the subject, thought Gears 2 was a flat out winner.

In reality, I've played them back to back, and Gears 2 really does have better graphics, imo. Uncharted 1 has better graphics than MGS4.

PS3 has by far the best looking exclusives this generation. I think most of us can agree on that. There are no exclusives other than Gears of War 2 that can hold a candle to games like Uncharted 2, MGS4, Killzone 2, etc., Anyone who does not see this is simply in denial :)

Neoraf, I suggest you go back and play the first Gears, cause "graphical beast" is far from what it is.

I HAVE TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE IM INSECURE ABOUT MY HIGH PRICED CONSOLE ONLY HAVING SLIGHTLY BETTER GRAPHICS THAN ITS MUCH CHEAPER COUNTER PART!!!!!!!

 

And everyone knows L4D Floor texture unit  cannot be done on the RSX, Value maxed out the 360 with L4D 1, Thats why L4D2 looks the same...

Why is there so much hate on Gears 2? The game has fantastic graphics. Are they better than Uncharted 2...No, but it's still a beautiful game.

Resident Evil 5 is graphically one of the most impressive games this gen. But it can't be in a graphics discussion because then what would people argue about?

I thought about this thread a little bit more and decided to come back and say this: not only does PS3 have the best looking exclusives among consoles, its exclusives blow away most PC games as well. Don't get me wrong there are many PC's that have graphical capabilities far beyond the PS3. There are also PC games like Crysis that is clearly the best looking game out right now. But as far as number of games go, I can only think of three or four games on PC that look on par or superior to KZ2, MGS4, Uncharted 2, etc.,

What do you guys think?
