huh? no its not. its an interactive exercise experience with 3d graphics. It's as much a game as those old pc softwares where you enter math solutions to progress through stages.
It's a game, but only by definition. Mario is a game.

Ummm...what do my predictions have to do with the discussion at hand? This topic isn't my predictions.
You speak as if NSMB Wii isn't enough on its own, but you forget that in Japan, there is also Crystal bearers, graces, a few others, WW there is Mario and Sonic, and some third party music games that may help, but NSMB is going to be the big driver, the others will just help to nudge more people towards the system

PS3 is up by around 5% for the week compared to Xbox 360 last year. This difference is completely caused by Japan, in the Americas and Others it is actually slightly lower. This makes it is doubtful for PS3 to outperform Xbox 360's sales from 2008 in those areas, especially in the US where it will see a lot more competition from Xbox 360 this year than it did from PS3 last year. If PS3 sells about equal in Others (2,4 million) and maybe 20-25% less in the Americas (2,3-2,5 million) it will probably get close to Xbox 360's numbers when Japan is included.
As for Xbox 360, I'd rather look at its sales from earlier years. It is slightly lower in the US for this week compared to last year. Adding the increased competition from PS3 to this information it most likely will sell a less than last year, probably also close to 2,5 million. It is clearly down in Others year over year when it sold 2,4 million, but it is above its 2007 numbers when it sold 1,15 million. I would expect a considerable drop from last year, probably close to 1,5 million for the remainder of the year. Japanese sales will be negligible, so its total sales should be close to 4 million for the rest of the year.

PS360 is doomedz!!
Really, the coming two weeks will be good for PS3 with U2 and FIFA10 in Europe. Might stay over 200k till the holiday season.

I can't see it having much impact. Looking at the preorder chart it seems like it will debut somewhere between 50-100k.
