And I'm sorry, but the people who think Dumbledore is just sitting there thinking about bending Harry over the whole time are not normal people. It is exactly this type of mentality that brings us Ginny/Dumbledore slash 

I have to say I agree with you. If Dumbledore was gay then something should have come up in the book itself. Just saying "oh by the way, Dumbledore was gay" just screams of attention seeking.

EDIT: actually, after having read the article itself it appears it came up as an answer to a question. So yeah, just something that never really came up before rather than something she did for attention. Sorry, but I now disagree with you ;)

it made me happy to find out he was gay honestly as he was my fav. character. I saw some signs there and it fits in fine with his character and the storyline.

but yea this really isn't a huge issue, but there will be [more] book burnings and it will now be used by gay rights organizations as inspiration.

Maybe because gays are socially isolated and it's harder for them to find a mate. And because evryone seems to see them - and other groups of people that are different - as aliens

Also Hermoine is an Ancient Greek name....it's in the Odyssey.

Rowling might or might not have gotten inspiration for her names from those sources.
