Welcome to my newest series of threads, will we ever see a sequel. Everyday a new game will be posted and we can discuss the odds of it coming out, what we would like to see in a sequel and everything about these games that do not yet (or might ever) existe.

First up is the N.E.S. classic, Star Tropics.

Star Tropics is a Zelda clone developped by Nintendo solely for the North American audience.

It even got a sequel a few years later titled Zoda's Revenge: Star Tropics 2

so will we ever see Star Tropics 3?

StarTropics could be so incredibly awesome in 3D. If Nintendo would just give this franchise a revival I'm sure they could make it popular, it's so awesome. Not sure what I would want to see exactly, I'd rather leave that to Nintendo, they're always so good with 3D conversions ^^

I doubt we will ever see a Star Tropics 3 but it would definitely be a 1st day purchase for me. Star Tropics and Crystalis both were overshadowed by the popularity of Zelda, but were both awesome games.

I want sequels to Age of Empires, Heretic, Jedi Knight, Warlords, Gabriel Knight and Lords of the Realm.

Games from the NES generation that were closed out for $5 each at KayBee Toys in the mid 1990s usually do not get sequels.

That is where and when I bought these games.

So even though deserving, the survey says "doubtful."

I really want a sequel for this one!

StarTropics 2 didnt sell really well because it was released in 1994 on the NES (same problem with Mega Man 6). 3 years after the launch of the SNES. But the game was clearly a AAA title for the time.
