Yeah i should start buying Activisions game's used now. This is just greed.

Holy crap, why the heck would you remove dedicated servers? As much as I like playing games on consoles too, this move feels like it's destroying the PC experience. This really sucks for all those people and clans that were getting servers and stuff set up for a community. Not to mention the destruction of mods.

Any interest in the PC version is going right out the window for me. I'll just stick with renting the console version or just buy it used (but not anywhere near $50-60, which will take a long time...).

Good job Infinity Ward and Activision!

"Online petitions ain't worth much to me - just once, I'd like to see someone with a clipboard outside a GameStop doing this in person. But on some topics they're meaningful, like the Infinity Ward/dedicated server fiasco that broke yesterday.

Especially when the petition registers 20,000 in just a little more than a day since the news hit. The petition's short and sweet: "Get Infinity Ward to review their decision not to allow fully dedicated servers for their forthcoming game release CoD:MW2. Remember that this Call of Duty was made popular by PC Gamers who have supported the series throughout."

And that's it. No list of high crimes and misdemeanors, just "think about what you're doing here."

Good work Battlefield. Im seriously interested in the latest installment after seeing that last awesome gameplay footage. Always thought BF was below COD standards, but the latest installment seems kinda sweet. And after IWs decision to remove dedicated servers, it just made BF a hell of alot more interesting for competetive play.

I think it's good to own both a BF-style game and a COD-style game, but it seems MW will stay as the "modern" "arcade" FPS to own.

I honestly can't see any reason to do this, and I'm sure they could have done this IW.net thing and still have dedicated servers. after all, EA did something like this with BF2142 (I don't know about BF2, I think it's the same though)

Even if you don't like PC gaming, it's something that us PC gamers always loved, our modding and dedicated servers, customization and so on. IW is now destroying what made the PC community what it currently is. Please sign for us :P
