Ah lol, I completely missed the racing part in the subject line. XD |
I'm assuming Lost is a crap game then?
Thanks, won't even waste my money renting it then

The last GREAT NFS game was NFS: Hot pursuit 2. (And when was that released? like 2002?) Most wanted and Undercover were good, but nothing touches Hot pursuit 2. |
I agree. Hot pursuit 2 was a beast, and I loved every second of it

Undercover was compared too much to Most wanted i think. (could have affcted it's scores, and like this i thought the A.I. was a little dirty in undercover).
As for shift............. i don't think the game knows what it wants to be, it plays like CRAPPIER versions of all the games that i think it's trying to be.... (Namely Grid, PGR and Forza)
The drivings ok at times....... but other times the car loses control for no apparent reason (even without the TERRIBLE A.I. ripping you off)
I don't know what game the reviewers were playing, but for me EA handed out a few cheques on this one.
Yeah I was originally gonna give it a rent, but after playing the demo for 5 minutes I decided I never want to play that thing again.
Why would EA go that route with the NFS series anyways? Why can't they go back to their golden years with NFS pursuit, underground, and the likes of those.
hi guys i just finshed shift, and its not that bad, its apretty good game 84 on the metratic is a fair rating, dont you think your putting it down just a little to much, it never happend to me, the A.I has never hit me before, i think you have to change the settings

lol...you and me have similar taste in gaming I reckon. Take a look at this post I made a month ago about NFS Shift.

I played the game on the settings reccomended to me after the trial run.
Sure, maybe some settings changes may have helped (i did tamper with them after getting SOOOOOOOOO frustrated with one race) but ultimately i drove with the settings best suited to me.

Before or because of this game? I am just curious if the arcade NFS is dead. My understanding is that NFS attempts to go sim here, but they are still doing an arcade focused NFS. Please correct me here.

Indeed.
We tend to sing the praises of roughly the same games.
I wish i would have only rented Shift now too
(£35 it cost me)
Or better still not started on it at all........ (Damn you achievement hunting, got points early for this garbage and was stuck with it)
you guys are still lucky you got the console versions. I got the PSP version and it gives the definition of being SCREWED...
