i really like R:FOM's co-op R2's co-op was good but u would get lost easily people would leave u behind just to have more kills and u NEED about 5 people to win trying to play with ur friend alone was impossible, i perfer the way the story was told in R:FOM and the like dark atmosphere... insomniac listened to the public abit to much, forgetting about the game that they wanted to make

I know what you mean, it is really easy for me to pick up and start playing. They messed some things up on R2 with the weapons and with no offline coop =/. It's still a good game but why change something when it is better in the first place?

I just beat the game yesterday and I totally loved it, gonna start R2 this weekend. It's not better than The Orange Box or Call of Duty 4 but it's a great game and a blast to play in story co-op.

you think CoD4 is better than resistance? i'd love to hear your reasoning behind that.

I enjoyed it. Coop was fun, the SP story was good and it was nice to lug around a huge arsenal again. I found myself mixed about R2. I liked some of it but felt it deviated hugely from the premise in 1, with little explanation really, and tried to hard too fit the 2 gun, etc. format of Halo, CoD4, etc. Online Coop was great in R2 though.

Resistance 1 never looked pretty though, while R2 seemed to veer between looking really nice and merely average.

Resistance FoM is the best FPS co-op IMO. (campaign coop how cool is that!) ....are there any other FPS coop like Resistance 1?

I like resistance.. but it does nto go beyond liking.. I wont pick up R3 till it hits 40€ price

Halo, Halo 2 & Halo 3 are better co-op games. Probably Left 4 Dead and Halo 3 ODST too.

Other co-op shooters just as good as Resistance: Rainbow Six Vegas, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Unreal Tournament 3

There are also a couple of good PC co-op shooters (or co-op mods), but they aren't splitscreen of course.

I haven't gone throught the whole thread, but to the original post - Yes, I really loved R1. And I didn't get into R2 much.
