No, Brawl was far more balanced, but in ways that were rather upsetting to the tourney-focused community. Especially tripping, and the removal of L-canceling (tripping i can kinda see. My counter-argument would be that it's random and fair, but these people play with items off to destroy the concept of fair randomness anyway)

I've tried Brawl +, and it's not all that different, but certainly not worth the effort, unless you just go the whole nine yards and start incorporating costume mods and such.

I completely agree with this (and I could add more to it).

And I must say I tried playing Resident Evil 5 on my PC lately and I just can't get into it. It would be much better with another person playing instead of a bad AI, this I'm sure though! I even came up with three word names for Sheva: Stop Wasting Herbs, Stop Wasting Bullets, Stop Getting Chain-sawed, Stop Kicking Chris, Stop Stealing Ammo and much much more!

Personally i liked RE5 and Fable 2 but thats just me everything else i agree with.

My biggest disappointments this gen:

1. The lack of journalistic integrity for both articles and reviews.
2. The fact that I've seen better game ideas come from members of this site than actual game developers.
3. The willingness of people to pay for downloadable content.
4. The fact that many developers won't even take advantage of one of the Wii remote's most obvious strengths, the IR pointer.
5. Sequelitis. I'm not sure if there actually are more sequels this generation, but it certainly feels like it.

Games:

1. Halo 3 - Halo 2 was such an improvement over the first game that I expected the same for the third installment.  Halo 3 was still a great, highly polished game, but it felt like more of the same from Halo 2, and I was expecting more.
2. Gyrostarr - An impulse buy that didn't turn out so well.
3. Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure - The last four levels are terrible compared to the rest of the game.  It left me with a bad taste in my mouth that was made worse after listening to all the praise this game gets here at VGC.
4. Okami - I'm 30 hours in, and it has lost my interest.  Hopefully, I will finish someday soon.

I kinda liked Fable 2 and RE5. Sure, they weren't the best games ever made, but they were solid, imo, and very much worth my time.

Is Overlord 2 really bad? the first one was kind of entertaining and I liked Table Tennis for some reason :P

Lair was a huge disappointment, but not nearly as bad as people made it seem.

What were your expectations?

that is the wii game, not overlord 2.

it had control and technical(lots of freezing) issues, really felt like just half a game and also seemed to have been targeted at kids.  

it had some nice humour in it....and wasnt terrible...but way below the first one.  freezing was a serious problem.
