but crysis 2 is on ps3 and 360

I think when it releases it'll, perhaps, look as good as the first Crysis on High settings? What say you?

That is good comparison. So about first Crysis on medium settings.

I would say as soon as direct X 11 games start to drop (crisis 2)

Crisis is the ultimate proof that high profile big budget PC exclusives are a dying breed.

Really, there aren't any games today that you can fully take advantage of if you have a maxed out high-end PC, unless you play with special solutions like Nvidia 3-D tech or huge monitors.

Then why does PC have the most amount of big budget exclusives? And next year it will be even more evident.

Crysis doesn't even have a "big" budget.

It has for a PC game. PC games are not only cheaper to make, but PC developers also spend almost nothing on advertisement, while in games like Killzone 2 and Halo 3 dozens of millions of dollars are wasted on marketing.

There are many big budget DS games... that is.. big budget for DS. He made his point: Developers are spending a lot more on consoles than they are on the PC. Win.

I don't think you understood my points:

1) Making the same game is cheaper on PC than on consoles. if you make a PC version and a Xbox 360 or PS3 version seperate of the same exact game, the PC version will be cheaper. Why do you think that so many console developers (Square Enix, Capcom, etc..) nowadays develop for PC, then port to consoles?

2) Dozens of millions of dollars are spent on advertisement for big console games. PC games however, are very different, with almost no marketing being done. The thing is, spending those extra millions won't make the game better.

so name the games 2008/2009 that square enix or capcom made for pc and ported to ps360.

Uncharted 2 looks as good as Crysis to me. But many things are pre-baked in U2, while Crysis does everything in real time. That's what makes the game so damn impressive.

Capcom:

Devil May Cry 4
Street Fighter IV
Resident Evil 5

square Enix:

Final Fantasy XIII
Final Fantasy versus XIII
Final Fantasy XIV

^Those Capcom games weren't made for PC first... All of them released for consoles before going PC. And FFXIII and Versus aren't even coming to PC.

From a technical perspective any game on PC can have "better graphics" then Uncharted 2. You could play World of Warcraft at an Ultra high resolution with X5000 Anti aliasing and technically that would be better "graphics" then Uncharted 2. But that wouldn't mean it would be a better looking game simply because Uncharted 2 still has a better presentation.

Anyway any time you see someone post a pic of Crysis looking better then Uncharted 2 they are usually running it with the code modified with a rig that has multiple GPU's and a octocore processor and when you see it in motion it lags and stutters. That's more of a complement to the PS3's power then anything.

They're all made on PC, then ported to consoles, so It doesn't matter if they were released on consoles first or not. They do it because it's cheaper.

I can definitely bet you that atleast FFXIII and will come to PC. Hell, Nvidia even announced it in their own website (it was removed moments after). My guess is they already have some sort of deal with Nvidia for it.
Square Enix is starting to bet more and more on PC gaming. They first released Last Remnant to test the waters, and now are going to publish more PC games than Xbox360 or PS3 games.
