I don't think you understood my points:
1) Making the same game is cheaper on PC than on consoles. if you make a PC version and a Xbox 360 or PS3 version seperate of the same exact game, the PC version will be cheaper. Why do you think that so many console developers (Square Enix, Capcom, etc..) nowadays develop for PC, then port to consoles?
2) Dozens of millions of dollars are spent on advertisement for big console games. PC games however, are very different, with almost no marketing being done. The thing is, spending those extra millions won't make the game better.
