@Gilgamesh
My guess would be: Armed Assault 2 (never played it though)

Impressive, but doesn't look that good when enlarged.
Textures are too low and washed out colours. Good but not on Crysis levels

Yeah, it is ArmA 2.  I would agree that it doesn't beat Crysis overall.

Crisis is the ultimate proof that high profile big budget PC exclusives are a dying breed.

Really, there aren't any games today that you can fully take advantage of if you have a maxed out high-end PC, unless you play with special solutions like Nvidia 3-D tech or huge monitors.

Then why does PC have the most amount of big budget exclusives? And next year it will be even more evident.

Don't forget Crysis still has mods that makes the game look even better :P

Crysis doesn't even have a "big" budget.

Yeh the budget for Crysis was like 20 million, that's pretty well the average PS360 game.

I love me some graphics. Though not the best part of the game, I really think it adds to the experience if the graphics are great. I've played pretty much all the high rollers on PS360, and Crysis still leaves me in awe when I play it on "nearly" maxed settings. Graphically speaking that is, the game as a whole doesn't leave me in awe...

It has for a PC game. PC games are not only cheaper to make, but PC developers also spend almost nothing on advertisement, while in games like Killzone 2 and Halo 3 dozens of millions of dollars are wasted on marketing.

Well it depends to be honest, I mean, in terms of FPS games, no, there hasn't been a game as good looking as Crysis with the Ultra High mod, however, on just High (Without additional texture mods), I'd say Killzone 2 comes pretty darn close, if only it didn't use a palette of three colours; Black, Grey, Brown.

However, if we're allowed to compare Genres... I'd definitely say Gran Turismo 5 is looking to have better CAR graphics than the environmental graphics of Crysis, although that isn't really much of a comparison, as in a racing game, the main focus of detail is on the car, while in an FPS, it's on the character and weapon models.

I'd also say Uncharted is looking pretty close to Crysis, just with the fact that it has a huge palette of bright colours that make it look incredible...

And just as a note, I don't think Crysis 2 will have better graphics than the original, unless ofcourse, it's being released on PC too, since that'll obviously be the superior format for it, AND it can be modded with texture packs etc.
