the threads are made stupid by the arguing fanboys. you shouldn't use exclusives.
I think the point is that anything under a 8.5 is a completely unreasonable score for the game. Likewise, anything under 8.5 for any of the fine 360 exclusives is unreasonable as well.
If you score it below 8.5 it is clealy fan bias. The game is an 8 on story and graphics tech alone.

No, I found Uncharted to be an average game, so I gave it a score to reflect how I felt about it . An 8 is still a great score.

What would be the fun in that? I don't mind when people argue in my threads (Unless it gets extremely out of control)....gives me more VG$ lol.

but uncharted isn't a below averge game. So voting it lower, regardless if it is your opinion or not, is unreasonable based on the quality of the game. You may not like it, but your enjoyment of the title is invoking a bias towards the quality of the game.
When you review a game, you do it with no opinion, it is on the qualities that are presented alone.
Its not vgchartz opinion thread.
I personally think Halo 3 is the biggest hunk of trash on a next gen console but i wouldn't give it less than 8.5 (I gave it a 9) because of its merits.

That is your opinion. My opinion is that it is a below average platformer and a below average 3rd person shooter. So I gave it the score I thought it deserved a 7.
Edit: And I do not see your point. By that logic everyone should have rated it at 8.9 or whatever because tht is it's average.
how is it a below average third person shooter? the cover mechanics are identical to gears of war, the set pieces are equal if not better, the only things it has lacking are the vehicle scenes and the enemies soaking up too much damage. (though, they do in gears of war as well, people just dont point it out.)
Below average is the incorrect term. It's average in the shooting department, while gears is phenominal in the shooting department. The game gets an 8 for shooting, a 10 for story, a 10 for graphics ( at the time, no equal on a console, I still think it is more technologically advanced than gears 2, but the masses say no so I just go with the flow, it certainly looks better, anyway.) a 6 for replay a 6 for length and a 8 for mechanics. You're left with at least an 8.

I meant to say a below average shooter.
And all though I didn't like Gears. I did find the cover system a bit better in it. One problem that i had in Uncharted was that the enemies were just to damn small. When I am playing on a 13in sdtv I had a hard time seeing the enemies is Uncharted as well as the fact that it took quite a bit to kill the enemies.
And another feature that was far superior in Gears was that I could play the entire game in co-op. Making it almost bareable. That along with a couple of different paths added a little replay value(Not really)
So I would have given Gears an 8
And my score of 7 stands for Uncharted

How can below 8.5 be considered unreasonable, that's a patently ridiculous statement. Never mind that not everyone has the same idea about what makes a good game but not everyone has the same concept of a 10 point scale either.
There are people out there, believe it or not, that just won't like Uncharted that much, and all the 'logic' about tech isn't going to make any difference to what they think. My mate is one of them, huge Sony fan, gamer since the 16 bit generation, hardcore gamer, bought the game all excited after hearing so many good things. Finished it in a few days, thought it was a bit boring and way too short and hasn't played it since. Not sure what he would have given it out of ten, because I didn't ask him but i know it wouldn't have been an 8.5.
It's called an opinion and if you have to stick a number on them the scale doesn't start at 8.5.
