Not that it matters to any extent at all but I do find it kinda cool that Gordon is winning!

Hmmm .....a poll done on PC garnering votes for a favorite character from a PC game......
most people who are voting from their PC are more likely to be fans of PC games (i.e. first person shooters starring Gordon Freeman) than nintendo console franchises like mario or zelda. Console games just aren't being as vocal as they have been in the past (READ: biased survey). Many people who only game on their consoles are not voting and therefore an important sample population is being excluded. I'm sure if the poll were conducted on wii only or playstation 3 only, the results would be quite different.
So what did we learn?
........people who spend more time on their PCs prefer PC games (shocker I know)

Then can you explain how Link, Mario, Cloud or Snake nearly always wins in these type of poll's?

Yeah, I mean the real reason Gordon is winning is that Valve is putting their force behind the contest.

I'm thinking that a majority of the people who are supporting nintendo these days (who own a wii or a ds) are not choosing to troll forums or they aren't the type of people who create an account on a gaming website just so they can vote for their favorite characters. Either they're so happy playing games on their nintendo system that they aren't bothering to vote (me) or they're not choosing to express their opinion by that method. I'm just saying that alot of new nintendo fans aren't being counted because they either don't spend a lot of time on their PC voting for the best video game character, or they aren't aware of it's existence.

Go Gordon! As a big Half Life fan this is rather amusing.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Half Life is probaly one of the biggest franshises on the PC. It has stretched to the 360. This is a pole done on the PC. If this pole was also done with console poling software many results would be different. Don't ever underestimate the power of PC gamers.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.

Yeah, it's all just a popularity contest. The Nameless One shoud've gone close to the top. |
JC Denton too wasn't treated very fairly. But it's the Duke's elimination that cries out for revenge!!!
