I had made a prediction thread about PSP vs. DS holiday titles a while ago, and have now updated it with sales of games released.

  But then I thought it might also be fun to see which of the three consoles' top holiday titles will come out on top.  So the point of the thread, is comparing the sales of the top 5 games on each platform released between Oct-Dec, and then see after the last week's sales of the year which platform's top holiday titles did the best.  So again this is only for games releasing in Oct-Dec, so a game like Halo 3: ODST will not be included even though it will continue to sell well during these months.

So Which console's holiday games do you think will do the best by the end of the year.   Wii has a few exclusives (Wii Fit +, NSMB Wii, Mario and Sonic) that should all do well, but after those top 3 titles it is hard to think of what game could do really well.  The 360 might seem at a disadvantage considering it's biggest exclusvie didn't fall into the time frame, but it still has Modern Wafare 2 which is going to put up huge numbers, Assassin's Creed 2 which should do better than the PS3 version if it is like the first and Forza 3 and Left 4 Dead 2.  The PS3 has the upcoming Uncharted 2 which will do very well, Final Fantasy XIII in Japan, Ratchet and Clank which usually does well during the holidays,  and the couple of the huge multiplat titles, but those have typically been doing better on the 360.

So by January 1st which console's holiday games will have sold the most?

If a game is released in some regions during the time frame but not others, only the sales in the regions where the game was released in Oct-Dec will be counted.

215 people voted in this poll that was taken down on Oct 31st. The majority of people thought the Wii will win, but it is currently in last place. Which group of voters do you agree with?

What about ODST? Wii will win though.

WF+ and NSMBW will guarantee millions for Wii.
Probably ps3 has some hits but without GT5 i think will not be able to outsell the Wii line up.
Without counting ODST X360 has Forza and Fifa 10, but to me seems not much.

Left 4 Dead will be a strong contender, it's going head to head with MW2, but it's going to have stronger first week sales than the last, judging by Valves comments.

assassins creed and MW2 will work good for both the 360 and PS3. But it will have a larger effect on the 360 prolly giving it the win for software hd systems wise. As far as the wii I have no idea.

Wii will go many millions above the others, a lot of it due to NSMBWii, Wii Fit + and Wii Sports Resort. Sales will be strong. For 360, ODST and Forza 3 will probably allow it to outsell PS3's games and this I believe Wii > 360 > PS3.

Are WSR, Halo ODST and September titles counted? Are we counting the top 5 or the top five holiday games for every console? If we go with the top five games 99% Wii will win, Wii Sports, Fit and MKWii always sell great...without them there's the possibility thanks to MW2 to outsell the Wii top 5, which would probably be NSMBW,WF+ and some other minor titles.

Why did you even bother to mention Ninja Gaiden for PS3? You really see it having a chance of outselling either FIFA 10, Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, Uncharted 2 or Final Fantasy XIII?

What about Tales of Graces (Wii) - admittedly Japan only but could be big (though not MW2 big) ? And FF XIII for the PS3 (again Japan only in this time period).
