Forums - PC - Getting my PC setup for 3D *yay*

Well my sister fucked up her PC so she recently bought a new one (i refuse to let her touch any technology of mine. anything she touches no matter how secure she ends up getting a virus on it) and she needs a new monitor. Well I took this as an oppurtinity to sell her my monitor. A Samsung SyncMaster 2253bw 22inch 1680 X 1050. I gave her a good deal since she's family, $70 USD.

I'm used that money to buy a Viewsonic VX2265wm at newegg on sale for $250 until the 14th. The second the monitor comes in I'm going to fry's to get the nVidia Stereoscopic glasses!

Excited as hell, i heard it works on Aion which is what im playing at the moment. I know for a fact it works on mass effect and Left 4 Dead as well which i play often. Oh It almost feels like christmas.

That's awesome mate!

Sweet! Be sure to post impressions

What do you suggest for monitors which have a 1920x1200 native resolution?

What's your current graphics card? Nvidia's 3D glasses cut the framerate below half of its original, so if you want a playable game I would make sure your graphics card is already giving 70+ fps on those games.

Aint there an ATI solution for 3-D coming soon? Anyone know?

I don't think it's in the 5800 series, at least I haven't heard about it.

Since such a small % of the market can actually utilize the 3d technology with even a smaller % of games, I don't blame them for not supporting it.

Once 120 HZ becomes standard, ATI will deliver their version of 3D.

Sweet let us know how it works. Ive been tempted with the idea but as i currently have an AMD/ATI rig it wont work but possible next gen

Long Live SHIO!

Here is my rig if you guys are wondering. Nothing over clocked as well...it runs everything perfectly maxed out without needing it yet.

Motherboard: nVidia nForce 780i
